The right horse is a soul horse. They may not be the prettiest or most athletic, but something about them fills a piece of your heart that you never knew was empty. They shape you and make an impact on your life that lasts forever.

The moment they gave me the green light to apply, I went to work on the adoption application. A week later Pilgrim was finally part of our family!
We have stuck right by each other’s side and always will. I am thankful I adopted my best friend.

I started interacting with her and had an overwhelming feeling she had picked me and was my heart horse. I spent sleepless nights thinking about her and what I should do. I came to the conclusion if I didn’t adopt her I would always regret it.

Having these two gorgeous boys as part of our little hobby farm and family has been such a blessing for our whole family. We couldn’t be any happier with our boys and our experience adopting from Horses’s Haven!

Just recently we competed at our first gymkhana and I didn’t stop smiling the entire day. We placed in 3 events! I was so proud of her! She’s the perfect horse for me because she really can be an all-around horse.

I felt like we were riding into the NFR finals when we rode into that arena. We were both a bit too excited, but she held it together and we had a super time. And we placed! Most of the other competitors were just like me and everyone was sharing stories about their rescues.

He has helped me enjoy small victories and learn to see the small details in a big picture. I would not be half the horse person I am today if it weren’t for my horse.

I believe, he has helped keep my leukemia in molecular remission for the years I’ve had him in my life. I’m beyond grateful for my #RightHorse! I look forward to watching my Ted blossom into the amazing horse that he is.
